How can i start getting ready for freshman football?

Well, ive tried pop warner last year but i quit because i wasnt in very good shape and i guess i got discouraged because of the coaches constant yelling. but now i think im ready, i know im ready. i want to be prepared this time. so heres the deal, school for me end on the 23rd so as soon as i get out i want to start training right away... because i am known for procrastinating lol. so can you guys give some workout plans, what should i be working on? running and stamina training, weight training or both? also what should i be eating so i could shed off excess weight and what not?
